Over the years, the fiberglass rod on the base bended, and the antennas are not straight any more May I use metal guy rings in the vertical antenna to support the guys? Or may I use something not conductive? -- 73, Jorge CX6VM/CW5W From k7tjr at msn.com Wed Jun 28 17:21:47 2017 From: k7tjr at msn.com (Lee STRAHAN) Date: Wed, 28 Jun 2017 21:21:47 +0000 Subject: [Hi-zreceivingarraydiscussions] guying vertical antennas In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hello Jorge, Metal guy rings will be just fine but must be bonded to the element somehow. If they are left loose you could get micro arcs that could cause noise in the receiver. Something nonconductive would also be just fine.
