Thanks Joe. The below method using port forwarding and an associated IP
address/DDNS address is how I control the SPE2K amplifier and other
switching now. Apparently I didn’t realize GHS had an app to install on my
local PC to allow switching control over the VPN connection to the remote
site where the Xmtr and Antennas are.
Ill look into this. PM me with any equipment details I might need or might
be handy ( k1uo AT tds.net )
Thanks all for responding.. there is hope yet!

Larry, yes I control them directly via a small ap (GHE client) software
that runs on your remote workstation. You need to know, at the control
point (where the radios and antennas are physically located), you need
at least one (PC) running on your local area network at the transmitter
site. This would be connected to your LAN and have access through the
local router to the internet. There is a small GHE server app that runs
in background on that computer. This server app keeps contact with each
and every wireless GHE client (beverages, rotors, 4 square's etc ) and
uses service ports to allow connection to all your devices via the
internet from any location in the world. The local area network router
has port forwarding enabled this in conjunction with a free DNS account
that makes sure your router has a static IP provides 24/7 connection to
any and all of your ham station.
Much more detail but I hope this gives you a flavor for what is going on.
