[Hi-zreceivingarraydiscussions] Did I hurt my controller or preamp?

Good evening all.
Just recently I added a 160m low dipole for RX to the property. I put an
RCS-4 remote antenna switch outside to switch between the HI-Z and the
dipole. The first thing that I noticed was that when I turned the remote
switch on it would blow the fuse in the switch. It ended up being the 75ohm
to 50ohm feedline impedance matching box. When I removed that from the
feedline the fuses no longer blew. Now I have a very bad noise which goes
across the entire band. I have a P3 with my Elecraft K3. The pitch changes
when I change direction with the shack direction control. The system seems
to have lost some gain, has increased noise, and kept the directional
characteristics that I had before. I verified the voltages at the elements
= 4.9vdc, voltage at the controller =13.9dc, I have 13.9vdc going to the
preamp, and all feedlines are tight.
My gut tells me the preamp has an issue.
Any input would be appreciated.
