  Roger, I just went out into the cold and cut off a piece of F677tsef  PE jacket cable.
  Yes you must fold out the stranded wires around the jacket.
  Yes it is very hard to push the connector on when cold.
  Yes it was much easier after I held one end in front of the heater for a few moments.
   Pushing and twisting got the job done when the cable was warm. I used both T&B
Blue and Purple and they both worked.
